Who We Are and What This Policy Covers

Hook Neural, operated by Toronto Growth Agency, is a done-for-you, AI-driven e-commerce marketing services provider for direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands. We help brands grow through paid advertising on Meta, Google, and TikTok, creative production, conversion rate optimization, landing pages, email and SMS, and influencer marketing.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit ecom.hookneural.com (the "Site") or book a strategy call with us. The Site is a marketing website. The only action you can take on it is booking a 20-minute strategy call through our embedded Calendly widget. We don't sell products, run a checkout, or process payments on this Site.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

Information We Collect

We collect two kinds of information: information you give us directly and information we collect automatically when you browse.

Information you provide when you book a call through our embedded Calendly widget:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number, when you provide it
• Your answers to short qualifying questions about your e-commerce brand

Information we collect automatically when you use the Site:

• Pages you view, clicks, and scroll depth
• Approximate, coarse location (such as city or region)
• Device and browser type
• The URL that referred you to us
• Your IP address

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site, understand how visitors use it, and measure our advertising. Here's what each tool does:

• Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API. Measures the performance of our advertising and helps us build advertising audiences. The Conversions API may send limited, hashed event information about your visit and booking to Meta on our servers so we can measure and optimize our advertising. This sharing is covered under the "How We Share Information" and opt-out sections below.
• Google Analytics 4. Reports on website traffic and how visitors use the Site.
• Microsoft Clarity. Records anonymized session recordings and heatmaps of on-site behavior so we can see how pages perform and where visitors get stuck.
• PostHog. Provides product and behavioral analytics about how the Site is used.
• Calendly. Powers the embedded scheduling widget you use to book a strategy call.

You can control or refuse cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, though some parts of the Site may not work as intended if you do. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• In a business transfer. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

International Data Transfers

We're based in Canada, and the service providers we use are based in the United States. This means your information, including booking details and usage data, may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws differ from those in your home country. Providers such as Meta, Google, Microsoft, PostHog, and Calendly may process data outside Canada as part of delivering their services.

When we transfer personal information across borders, we take reasonable steps to make sure it stays protected, including relying on our providers' contractual safeguards and standard data protection terms where they apply. By using the Site or booking a call, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.

Data Retention and Security

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to your inquiry, holding your strategy call, and meeting our legal and business obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it or anonymize it. We typically retain the booking details you submit through Calendly (your name, email, phone number, and qualifying answers) for as long as we're in active contact with you about our services, and for a reasonable period afterward, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to each provider's standard retention periods.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and limiting access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and review our practices as our tools and threats change.

Your Choices and Rights

You have choices about your information:

• Access and deletion. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
• Marketing opt-out. If we contact you about our services, you can opt out at any time by replying to ask us to stop or by using the unsubscribe option in our emails.
• Advertising. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through the ad settings offered by Meta and Google.
• Analytics and session recording. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Microsoft Clarity and PostHog honor recognized browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track, and you can further limit them by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as Canada's PIPEDA, the EU/UK GDPR, or state privacy laws in the United States. These can include the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Children

The Site and our services are meant for businesses and aren't directed to children under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us their information, contact us at hello@hookneural.com and we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, tools, or the law. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
